DAMN | Halle Berry
To my lady friends, I post this in the name of fashion, but I ask for your forgiveness in advance if this blog makes me reek of a bacon, sausage, and ham salad.   But damn it, if Halle Berry in leather pants and knee high Louboutin boots isn’t blogworthy then I just wouldn’t be a man.
Ms. Berry was recently spotted in NYC rockin (and I mean ROCKIN) a Helmut Lang Shearling Jersey Jacket, leather pants, and a pair of leather knee high boots from Christian Louboutin. The Helmut Lang grey biker jacket has black leather sleeves, a shearling fabric interior, and an asymmetrical zip closure, but seriously, I don’t even know if any of that really matters.  Did I mention the dope ass haircut?  Go Cindarella, Go Cindarella!
This concludes this post, now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Cukui | New Releases in San Jose Store

For all my local folks, if you haven’t been to the new Cukui flagship store in Japantown (SJ) it’s definitely a must see.  The store is beautiful and the merchandise is certainly dope.  Orly and crew really have something special right in our own backyard and they’ve just dropped some new tees for Labor Day weekend.  If you’re in the area definitely roll through and check it out, and ask for my dude Danny Le, he’ll take real good care of you.

For The Ladies | Lace-Up Cutout Boot | Manolo Blahnik Fall/Winter 2010
Somehow, I bet this will be the most popular blog post of the day.  Ladies, in all fairness regarding blogging and shoe game, I haven’t forgotten you, I was just waiting for the right shoe to come along, and here it is.  The ‘Lace-Up Cutout Boot’ by Manolo Blahnik ($1445), a peek into the Fall/Winter 2010 collection.
Since I’m off work this week, and lounging around in my drawers for the most part (an image NOBODY wants to think about, I know), I’ll keep an eye out on the web to see which celebutress is the first to be rockin a pair of these bad boys in public.
On a side note, I’m not encouraging anybody to run out and spend $1500 on a pair of shoes, unless of course you can afford them (it’s your money), and you had better be able to REALLY afford them.  Not “I have $1500 on my credit card” afford them, or “if I take in my recycling and don’t pay my rent” afford them.  I’m thinking more along the lines of “I got them for free” afford them, or “I got that Oprah/Tyra money” afford them.  I post stuff like this, cuz I can appreciate the artistry of good fashion and generally dope shit when I see it, and everybody likes a lil eye candy now and then.
Anywho, if this is any indication of the rest of the line, it looks like this winter is gonna be a hot one!

Dope Kicks | Missoni x Converse (via Refinery29)

Missoni's mission to regain their cool status and relinquish their image's as Palm Beach retirees' favorite brand has really been working so far. If you can't really afford to get your hands on their fresh-off-the-runway chunky knits, signature prints, and layering pieces, we recommend heading to Missoni boutiques to pick up one of their new collaborations with Converse. With a tasteful print, leather tongue, and the classic Chuck Taylor All Star shape, this shoe tops our sneaker wish-list for fall. Guy and girls can buy them for $200 at Missoni boutiques, Jeffrey’s in N.Y. and Atlanta, Aloha Rag in N.Y. and Canvas in Malibu.

Jay Z x Nike | All Black Everything AF1

Jay-Z is performed at Radio City Music Hall to kickoff the World Basketball Festival last night, which provided the perfect stage to introduce the Jay-Z x Nike Air Force 1 – All Black Everything Collection.

“We’re excited to bring together the international prestige of Jay-Z and the USA Team on stage at famed Radio City Music Hall to open the first World Basketball Festival,” says Trevor Edwards, Nike VP Global Brand and Category Management. “This will be a historic night. We’re also honored to collaborate with Jay-Z on limited edition Air Force 1s that celebrate the countries participating in this inaugural event.”

Inspired by the WBF with shoes for France, Brazil, China, Puerto Rico and the U.S., the All Black Everything collection has been donated by Nike to the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation who in turn have linked up with eBay on a charity auction where the five unique pairs will raise funds for its mission. The charity auction began yesterday at 9:00 a.m. EST and ends on August 22 at 9:00 a.m. EST. Only two pairs of each of the five designs will be created, one for the winning bidder and one for the man behind the design, Jay-Z.

How’s that for exclusive?  All dope everything.
